Bio
Konstantin Danilov also known as Zmogk (b. 1979, Moscow) is an artist based in Athens, Greece in 2022. He was one of the pioneers of the graffiti movement in 1990s Russia, and the experiences of working with color and shape in urban space still inform his work.
Today, his work is centered on painting and relates to the language of Color Field. His practice explores boundary states: between the internal and the external, the personal and the collective, and between human activity and natural processes. These interests are developed through several long-term projects, including Borderline States, Integration, and Limits of Intervention. Rather than open conflict, Danilov focuses on subtle tensions and threshold moments, where systems appear stable while already being close to change.
Konstantin has held three solo exhibitions in Moscow and participated in various group exhibitions and art fairs in Europe, USA and Russia, including projects with the Moscow Museum of Modern Art and Burning Man x Sotheby’s exhibition and auction in New York.
His works are included in institutional and private collections such as RuArts Foundation, Montresso Foundation, and the STRAAT Museum in Amsterdam. He has also was selected for the IV Mitrovica residency program in Kosovo (2026)
